Almost six decades after his untimely death, Buddy Holly’s music continues to warm hearts of fans all over the world. Even 29 years after the first show of The Buddy Holly Story in London’s West End, audiences worldwide still dance and sing to the Rock Rhythms. This exciting musical, created by Alan Janes, tells the story of Buddy since his first performances as traditional country singer to “the day the music died” – with reference do Don Mclean’s song, American Pie after the tragic aeroplane accident in which Buddy died. This production is an energetic and inspiring experience in celebration of this music pioneer’s contribution to music. It is about the short career of Buddy Holly, who, together with his high school friends, initiated the turnaround of country music to the most loved rock-n-roll music of all times. Join in the dancing and sing with to old favourites like “Peggy Sue,” “Oh Boy,” “Maybe Baby,” “That’ll Be the Day,” “Raining In My Heart,” Ritchie Valens’s “La Bamba” and the Big Bopper’s “Chantilly Lace.” An amazing celebration of the timeless music from the 1950’s.
